My Birthday Desserts from Burch & Purchese!

As of yesterday, I'm officially in the twenties!!!! Whoooot! Seriously, time was zooming pass me and I didn't even realize that I was about to enter the world of the 20s!!

For all of my birthdays, I never wanted anything fancy-pancy. I never demanded for anything or expect anything. My only wish each year is to welcome my new age with laughter and happiness. I cherish each birthday wish dearly because they remind me that I'm cared for. So, thank you all :)

Anyway, thanks to a surprise from my lovely brother, I waved my 19-year-old self goodbye with a couple of sweet treats from Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio. :D

Four gorgeous beauties that were waiting for me!

From left:
Coconut, Passionfruit, Ginger & Mint
Coconut mousse, passionfruit curd, coconut caviar, passionfruit jelly, salted oat & ginger crumble, white chocolate mint wafer, brilliant white chocolate spray

Milk Chocolate, Pumpkin, Bacon & Maple
Spiced milk chocolate cream, bacon, pecan & milk crumble, pumpkin cream, pumpkin seed cake, smoked maple jelly, milk chocolate mousse, candied pumpkin seed

Explosive Milk Chocolate & Raspberry
Milk choc & raspberry mousse, exaggerated rasp cream, milk chic Sacher sponge, fresh raspberry compote, chocolate royal biscuit, raspberry marshmallow, chocolate coated pop rocks, mirror chocolate glaze

Out of the three, my favourite was the Explosive Milk Chocolate & Raspberry one! It was light, tangy and the 'pops' from the pop rocks made it magical. But the other two weren't short of anything! The countless textures gave each bite a wonderful surprise and the blend of flavours was faultless.

Chocolate, Mandarin and Salted Caramel
Kendari 60% chocolate mousse, Murray River salted caramel, burnt mandarin cream,
St Clements marmalade, aerated chocolate shortbread, chocolate mirror glaze

This was rich, smooth and decadent but I could hardly taste any saltiness from the caramel and there was only a very slight hint of mandarin. Overall, it was intensely chocolate-y, which is a good thing!! but it would have been brilliant if the mandarin and salted caramel shone through.

** Anyway, I had the best time and I am truly grateful for every wish/hug/present/card/etc. I got. A special shout-out to Tink and Ganas for your laughter and smiles (and the cutest sunnies I've ever seen!!!!) and of course, my dearest brother for everything!
